We are an organization made up of volunteer researchers who have been harmed by predatory publishers and want to help researchers identify trusted journals and publishers for their research.
We never charge any amount from our users and all published information is free for all audiences to access and use. We don't even display advertising on our website. It is completely free work and we are paying for all the cost by ourselves without the support of any company.
We decided to remain anonymous so as not to be sued by companies whose practices are quite aggressive. As our reach grows on the internet, we are already receiving threats.
Our aim is not to base our claims on authorities. We are gathering and publishing publicly available information to support authors' decisions on whether or not to publish scientific articles in journals that exhibit questionable and predatory practices.
The Predatory Lists aims to educate researchers and students, promote integrity, and build trust in scientific research and publications.
Our posts come with a list of references.
It is up to each one to judge the published information and decide for himself.
We are available for future collaborations. Suggestions are welcome.
Sincerely,
The Predatory Journals team.
